Gerald L. Peterson, 64, of Decatur, IL passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 24, 2010).
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday (Aug. 27, 2010) in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Mr. Peterson was born on March 6, 1946 in Decatur, IL, the son of William H. and Norma L. (Chandler) Peterson. He worked for Macon Resources for many years and retired in 2008 from Decatur Health Department. He graduated from Eisenhower High School and attended Central Baptist Church.
Surviving is his niece: Sherry (Rob) Shepherd of Decatur, IL; uncles: James (Juanita) Peterson of Decatur, IL, Don Peterson of Decatur, IL; aunt: Shirley Rentfrow of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: William L. Peterson, niece: Susie Peterson.

Sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Though I hadn't seen him for years, the picture brought back fond memories. Jerry always had a BIG smile and was cutting up. I pray God gives each family member exactly what they need as you gieve over your loss.
